In 2017, The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards reported that in the Practice Analysis of Architecture, only 1.2% of board-certified architects were African-American. Juxtaposed against this daunting statistic is the force of nature known as Robert Madison. In addition to his accomplishments in the architectural field, Madison is a World War II veteran, advocate, mentor and full subscriber to the American Dream. Robert Madison is a true living hero with a story relevant to the continued discourse on race and opportunity in America.
