CCBFF will host a Special Screening of Breaking Down Barriers on Friday, August 31 at 7:30PM at the Austin Convention Center with Director Jerry Sadowski and other Special Guests in attendance.
Breaking Down Barriers is a timely documentary about athlete C.R. Roberts, a Civil Rights pioneer born in Mississippi in 1936 and raised in Oceanside, California, eventually attending the University of Southern California in the 1950s.
This documentary explores the beginning early stages of the Civil Rights movement through the viewpoint of a little-known legacy, which continues to bring people of all colors and races together.
